George Morgan Memorial Trophy

George Morgan was one of the founding members of the STAGS and was the ‘life and soul of the party’.

The trophy was created to recognise the qualities he brought to the society.

The initial criteria for the award was not based on the quality of the nominees golf, it was based on the qualities that George brought to the society. His sociability, his willingness to support, help, amuse and his positive manner.

The criteria for nomination therefor can be anything you decide it to be.
It could be a friend you admire: someone you enjoy playing with: someone you feel supports the society or a society day organiser who goes above and beyond to make your experience of an event that extra bit special.
It could even be that you admire his clubs, his dress sense or even the car he drives.

It is totally up to you.

Anything goes with the George Morgan Memorial Trophy award as indeed it did with George himself.
